A senior technology seat, without the full-time hire.

Ingenra is independent technology leadership for self-storage operators. The model is simple, and the independence is the entire point.

Fractional, not theoretical

A growing operator needs senior technology judgment well before the workload or the budget justifies a full-time CTO. The gap usually gets filled by the owner, a trusted vendor, or whoever on staff is least afraid of software. None of those is the right answer, and all three cost you in ways that do not show up until later.

Ingenra fills the seat directly. I take responsibility for the technology function - the architecture, the roadmap, the vendors, the build-versus-buy calls - at the level of involvement your stage actually needs, and no more.

No platform to sell

This is the part that matters most. Ingenra sells no software. There is no platform, no reseller agreement, no referral fee waiting behind a recommendation.

That is not true of most of the people offering to help:

  • The software vendors will happily design your stack. It always ends at their product.
  • The marketing-led agencies do good work on the website and the booking funnel, then stop at the front end.
  • The generalist fractional CTOs understand technology but not storage, so they learn your business on your budget.
  • A full-time technology VP is the right answer eventually, and makes no financial sense at five to fifty sites.

Storage-native, independent, and senior is a combination almost nobody offers. That is the seat Ingenra holds.

How engagements run

Most operators start with a Blueprint - the fixed-scope review that produces the architecture and the roadmap. From there, if it makes sense, I stay on to run it.

Some operators only need the Blueprint. Some need the seat for a season, then graduate to their own hire. Both are fine. The work is meant to make your operation independent, not to keep it dependent on me.
